About Mrs. Cheryl Rogers

Cheryl Rogers is a native Texan who began training at Denton Taekwondo Academy in January 1990. She began assisting Mr. David Rogers in classes the following year, as a blue belt. She earned the rank of First Degree Decided Black Belt in June 1993. By this time she had graduated from the University of North Texas and entered the "real world," and while she continued to train in martial arts, she was unable to assist in class as much as she had before. She contented herself with regular classes, and weekend demonstrations and tournament opportunities.

In December 1995, Mrs. Rogers earned her Second Degree Decided Black Belt. Five years later she abandoned the "real world" in favor of full-time martial arts, assuming the position of Taekwondo America's Office Manager. She became Denton Taekwondo Academy's Beginner Coordinator in 2001.

In February 2003, Mrs. Rogers earned her Senior Instructor's Certification and her Third Degree Decided Black Belt. She continues her work as Taekwondo America's Office Manager, Denton Taekwondo Academy's Beginner Coordinator, and Web Mistress of this site. She enjoys volunteering for the Aquatic Gardeners Association and the Girl Scouts.
