White Belt Study Guide—"Fundamentals"

Major Objectives

• To learn and understand the essence of the Student Oath and Tenets.

• To get a basic understanding of how the physical power of Taekwondo is generated.

• Adults must demonstrate at least 4 of 5 White Belt One-Step sparring combinations.

• To be able to demonstrate Chon-Ji Form.

Chon-Ji means literally "The Heaven, The Earth." In the Orient, it is interpreted as the creation of the world or the beginning of human history. This pattern consists of two similar parts: one to represent Heaven and the other, the Earth.
